Nigerian FGS Network is a group created in October 2021 to link up the FGS Scholars in Nigeria and those lectured by the Scholars with the aim of creating awareness about FGS. It has grown to cut across the six geo- political zones, some states and LGAs in Nigeria and it has been registered with Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission as Female Genital Schistosomiasis Society of Nigeria.

So fa so good, I use to be close to an illiterate when it come to FGS. But today I have learnt how to keep my environment clean which can help prevent FGS. This society have come up with a very good idea trying to sensitize the community on how to maintain water and proper hygiene in our environment so as to prevent this neglected diseases in out community. They are doing a very good job collaborating with medical practitioners to sensitize tertiary institution. We will support this society by disseminating the information Inshallah
I learn a lot about FGS from this program. I have not hard much about FGS before but today I learnt about it, the way people contact it (like some contact it from water), the treatment and diagnoses. I have really learnt a lot about it.
I learnt a lot of information on how to help FGS patients, I am now able to help and also educate other in my community.
